Hardly any other German NewSpace start-up captivates space enthusiasts as much as POLARIS Raumflugzeuge. On the one hand, this may be due to the fact that the team around CEO and founder Dr. Alexander Kopp is working flat out on the development of a space plane. Another is that an aerospike engine is to be used for the first time. In recent weeks, the Bremen-based company once again caused a stir at Peenemünde Airport with its latest demonstrator, MIRA.
